- Secure the building- open and close external doors, provide appropriate access to rooms, manage key inventory.
- Provide excellent customer service with the help of front desk staff and other night employees
- Greet each event coordinator prior to the event starting time. Explain how to contact for assistance and check in with the customer to ensure all arrangement are set correctly.
- Help to deescalate unruly guests during events, sporting events, or during high occupancy nights.
- Make regular rounds throughout the building to ensure guest and employees are safe and secure
- Record building traffic, head counts, and file hourly reports that occur within the building.
- Provide leadership and direction in emergencies and assist as needed
- Enforce University and MSU Policies and Standards.
- Recognize and report safety and security problems to MSUPD.
- Provide support to Front desk, Housekeeping and Engineering department on an as needed basis during the overnight shift
- Document night shift for management review
This position is NOT for MSU degree granting students.
Required Qualifications - Available for night shift on Thursday, Friday and Saturday during home football games
- Available 2 shifts home game weeks
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Display a high standard of ethical conduct
- Ability to stand and or walk for an entire shift
- Pass an employment Criminal Background Check
- Knowledge of building operations and hospitality business procedures.
