Job description

This role supports our Market and Receiving department.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Provide leadership and work direction for the team to ensure that resources needed are adequate to meet key requirements related to safety, service levels, cost, and efficiency.

  • Lead day-to-day Market and Receiving activities to ensure current commitments are achieved while making improvements.

  • Continuously improve efficiency through changes to procedures, systems, and equipment. Participate in and/or lead cross-functional projects and kaizen events supporting continuous improvement.

  • Engage in regular communication with internal and external customers; coordinate and facilitate activities that respond to customer and market needs through contact with Sales/Marketing and district sales offices.

  • Monitor daily performance; ensuring countermeasures and recovery plans are in place for missed targets.

  • Recommend and implement changes regarding staffing in support of production plans; conduct employee reviews, promotions, disciplinary action, and all other performance management responsibilities.

  • Participate in, monitor, and maintain departmental budget - both expense and capital.

  • Be highly transparent to associates and build an environment that encourages active participation, promoting a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred.

  • Ideally a minimum of 5 years of experience in operations leadership; previous warehouse and receiving experience preferred.

  • Proven track record of leading teams to achieve ambitious goals.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data driven mentality.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:

$105,000.00 - $195,000.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
