Job description

Extended Day Teacher

Oxford Community Schools

2026-27 School Year
Primary Function: To supervise school-age children in a before and after school setting. 

Schedule: 

  • Monday through Friday (student attendance days)
    • AM Shift 6:00 - 9:00 AM
    • PM Shift 3:30 - 6:00 PM

Qualifications - Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience or desire to work with and supervise school age children in a before or after school setting.
  • Ability to interact in a positive manner with students, parents, and staff.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan appropriate activities.
  • Responsible for the safety of children.
  • Follow childcare licensing guidelines.
  • Maintain regular and predictable in-person attendance.
  • Support the OCS vision and mission.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Starting Hourly Pay Rate: $17.61 - $19.87 per hour based on education and the 2026-27 OELC Salary Schedule
