Grocery Services South, LLC. is a trusted retail partner contracted by the Texas State Health Department, specializing in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) supplemental food program. We proudly serve the Greater Brownsville Area and El Paso under our Grocery Services South, LLC branch. Weโ€™re looking for a motivated and customer-focused Store Clerk to join our team at our Expressway location. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while contributing to our mission of helping those who need it most. It all begins with you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Order merchandise from our warehouse or suppliers based on inventory levels and customer demand. Check product levels, expiration dates, and rotate stock. Occasionally conduct physical inventories.
  • Customer Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service at the checkout counter, assisting customers with their product selections and processing payments via cash, SNAP, or WIC cards.
  • Stocking & Merchandising: Unpack, stock, and organize shelves, racks, and bins with new merchandise to ensure a well-stocked and visually appealing store.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness by routinely cleaning counters, shelves, floors, and bathrooms to ensure a safe and welcoming shopping environment.
  • Team Support: Assist the store manager and other team members with any other duties or tasks needed to ensure the smooth operation of the store.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail or store clerk experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to take initiative
