Temporary Summer Teacher
The University of Miami's Frost School of Music seeks Temporary Summer Teachers to assist with the Frost Summer Experience 2025, a summer camp to foster musical exploration and growth. This program is open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds who are passionate about music.
The ideal candidate must have a passion for teaching and a genuine interest in inspiring students to explore and appreciate the musical arts, demonstrated experience teaching at the secondary or collegiate levels and the creativity to develop engaging educational experiences that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
The duties will include, but not limited to:
• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and activities as instructed by your assigned Program Coordinator.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, share insights, and express their creativity.
• Enforce University safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of students.
• Collaborate with fellow Teachers and Program Coordinators to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for all participants.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience as a secondary or collegiate Music Instructor
• Appropriate State of Florida certification (DCF training)
