Job description

As a Pharmacy Records Management Technician Representative, you will support pharmacy operations through accurate record management and compliance-focused document handling. This role is highly detail-oriented and involves maintaining prescription records, coordinating with Iron Mountain, and safely moving and organizing physical records using material-handling equipment. Much of the work is independent and requires strong organization, accountability, and attention to detail.
Work Schedule
🕔 Monday - Friday | 5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Iron Mountain, managing all related communications and requests
  • Prepare and ship record storage boxes to Iron Mountain on a monthly basis and retrieve boxes as requested
  • Sort, organize, and maintain prescription records in compliance with retention requirements
  • Track and manage records using Excel-based databases
  • Ensure prescriptions are retained onsite and on the pharmacy floor for the required timeframes
  • Prepare daily lockboxes for scanning
  • Operate forklifts and hand jacks to move pallets of records safely
  • Work independently for extended periods while maintaining productivity and accuracy
  • Cross-train in other functional areas based on business needs

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a pharmacy dispensing environment
  • Active Missouri State Pharmacy Technician License required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email; ability to navigate the Iron Mountain website
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to support high-volume periods
  • Comfortable operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment
  • Prior forklift experience preferred; training provided onsite

Physical Requirements:
  • Sit and/or stand for lengthy Periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 30 lbs. frequently
  • Perform repetitive motion with fingers, hands, and arms
  • Work may be in confined areas close to machinery
  • Work may be in performed in an environment with varying noise levels
