Branch Manager

Express Employment Professionals – Wichita, KS

Position Summary

The Branch Manager is responsible for leading branch operations, driving sales and recruiting performance, and developing a high-performing, values-driven team. This role ensures consistent business growth, exceptional client service, and strong operational execution aligned with Express standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Hire, train, coach, and hold accountable a team aligned with Express core values
  • Conduct daily huddles, weekly 1:1s, and performance reviews
  • Foster a culture of ownership, professionalism, and results
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and PTO to maintain full coverage

Drive Sales & Business Growth

  • Execute quarterly sales strategy targeting new and existing clients
  • Maintain strong activity levels (calls, appointments, pipeline management)
  • Achieve consistent new client growth and revenue targets
  • Ensure strong client onboarding, care, and retention

Lead Recruiting & Placement Strategy

  • Develop and execute recruiting plans to maintain a strong candidate pipeline
  • Monitor recruiting metrics (applications, interviews, placements)
  • Ensure adherence to the Express selection process
  • Support interviews and hard-to-fill positions as needed

Ensure Order Fulfillment & Service Excellence

  • Oversee job order intake, assignment, and timely fill rates
  • Monitor service quality, activity, and follow-through using system reports
  • Resolve client and associate issues quickly and effectively

Manage Operations, Financials & Risk

  • Oversee payroll, account setup, and adherence to Express systems
  • Drive profitability, manage AR, and support collections
  • Monitor workers’ compensation and unemployment risk
  • Ensure 24/7 coverage through on-call program management

Community Presence & Compliance

  • Build relationships through local networking and community involvement
  • Represent Express at job fairs and events
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and company policies

Qualifications

  • 2–4+ years of leadership, sales, or staffing experience
  • Strong coaching, communication, and accountability skills
  • Proven ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
