Are you organized, detail oriented, and comfortable wearing multiple hats? Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Purchasing & Materials Coordinator to join a manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and can keep multiple priorities moving while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

• Purchasing or materials coordination experience

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including data entry, sorting, filtering, and maintaining spreadsheets

• Familiarity with ERP systems for purchasing, inventory, and order management

• Experience using shipping software or carrier programs

• Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines

• Excellent communication and problem solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Dependable, proactive, and willing to wear multiple hats

• Strong follow through and ability to take ownership of responsibilities

• Process and track purchase orders from placement through delivery

• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order status

• Monitor incoming materials and follow up on delayed or incomplete orders

• Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and vendor records within the ERP system

• Prepare, package, label, and ship sample materials to customers and clients

• Use shipping programs to process shipments, print labels, and track deliveries

• Verify customer information, part numbers, quantities, addresses, and shipping documentation

• Maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports for purchasing, inventory, and shipping

• Inspect measurement tools and equipment to verify calibration status

• Track calibration dates and coordinate calibration services when needed

• Maintain accurate calibration and inspection records

• Work closely with purchasing, production, quality, shipping, and management

• Assist with inventory and material tracking

• Help identify and resolve purchasing, shipping, or material discrepancies

• Maintain organized records and documentation

• Assist with general administrative and manufacturing support as needed

• Jump in wherever needed to keep the operation running smoothly

The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organized, dependable, computer savvy, and extremely detail oriented.

You should be comfortable working in Excel, ERP systems, and shipping programs, while also communicating with vendors, customers, and internal teams.

This is a position where priorities can change throughout the day. One moment you may be placing a purchase order, the next you may be preparing a customer sample shipment or checking calibration records.
