Established in 1981, Orient Express Container (OEC) Group is one of the top freight forwarders in the transportation industry. We provide freight transportation, logistics, and information services to over 50,000 customers through a network of global offices.
Our employees recognize the impact we make in the global supply chain through staying on top of the ever-changing logistics industry with the goal of delivering quality information and services to our clients.
As an Administrative Assistant, you will perform various day-to-day administrative tasks and assist with projects related to important company initiatives and events. This role will also collaborate with internal team members from various departments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 years' experience in an Administrative Assistant or Receptionist role is required.
  • Event planning experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with graphic design platforms like Canva and Adobe is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Outgoing and expressive personality.
  • Great organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet office visitors and employees at the front desk and assist however necessary.
  • Help boost office camaraderie with fun and engaging events, announcements, and newsletters.
  • Answer inbound calls and direct them to proper recipients.
  • Create daily email newsletters for internal employees using Canva or similar graphic design platforms.
  • Process inbound and outbound mail, parcels, and deliveries.
  • Manage inventory of office supplies.
  • Communicate with property management about any facility needs.
  • Coordinate communications with vendors.
  • Perform various other administrative tasks as needed.
Salary:
  • $20 - $24/hour dependent on transferable experience and education level.
Schedule:
  • In office, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Education:
  • Associate degree or higher required.
