About the Role: 
Spirit International Transport is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Air Export Coordinator to join our logistics team in Elk Grove Village, IL. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing international air freight operations for a dynamic and fast-paced freight forwarding company. Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinate and process air export shipments from booking through final delivery
  • Prepare and review export documentation including airway bills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipper's export declarations
  • Ensure compliance with IATA regulations, TSA requirements, and U.S. export control laws
  • Communicate with airlines, overseas agents, and customers to coordinate shipment scheduling and resolve issues
  • File Electronic Export Information (EEI) through AES/ACE as required
  • Track and trace shipments, providing proactive updates to customers and internal teams
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and freight partners to ensure smooth clearance and delivery
  • Manage rates, routing, and carrier selection to optimize cost and transit times

Requirements:
 
  • 1-3 years of experience in air export, freight forwarding, or international logistics
  • Familiarity with IATA regulations, Harmonized Tariff Codes, and export compliance requirements
  • Experience with freight forwarding software and CargoWise is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of export documentation and AES/ACE filing procedures
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred
