POSITION PURPOSE
This is a developmental position designed for team members who have expressed interest in growing with Athletic Annex. This role provides exposure to cross-functional areas of the business-including digital operations, customer service, and event support-while maintaining core involvement in store operations. Candidates will gain valuable experience across multiple departments and contribute meaningfully to business growth.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the retail store as Manager on Duty, ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive customer experience.
  • Educate and train staff on best-in-class customer service practices and the Athletic Annex fitting process to maintain service excellence.
  • Support Store Managers in the day-to-day operations of the brick-and-mortar locations.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-merchandised sales floors in alignment with brand standards.
  • Educate and support in-store team members on digital and adjacent operational tasks, such as fulfilling eCommerce orders.
  • Track, fulfill, and resolve EDI dropship orders in coordination with vendor and operations teams.
  • Assist the Outside Marketing, Workplace Fit, and Expo Manager with external sales events and brand activations.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Take on special projects as assigned, supporting broader team initiatives and learning opportunities.
  • Attend weekly Leadership Meetings with all Mangers and Assistant Managers

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Interest in learning cross-functional areas of retail operations, including marketing and event execution
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and task management tools to support daily operations
  • Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to take initiative
