Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Mechanical Assembler
Balance Staffingย is hiring for aย full-time Mechanical Assemblerย role, with operations in locations such as Hollister, CA.


Role Overview
The Mechanical Assembler is aย mission-criticalย position focused on driving continuous improvement in assembly operations. The role involves working under direct supervision inย explosive handling areasย to ensure safe and precise assembly of energetic materials.


Key Responsibilities

  • Weigh and pressย inert and energetic materials.
  • Set up and operate anย analytical balance.
  • Performย inert assembly operations.
  • Conductย minor cabling, potting, tinning, and assembly work.
  • Set up and operate aย powder pressย for pressing operations.
  • Perform variousย production assembly operationsย on components and subassemblies.
  • Install sub-assemblies using visual aids, drawings, and verbal/written instructions.
  • Receive detailed instruction on new assignments.
  • Demonstrateย proficient dexterityย for safe handling of explosive devices.
  • Attend requiredย offsite trainingย (e.g., JSTD certification) to maintain compliance.
  • Be available forย overtimeย on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.
  • Lift up toย 50 lbs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GEDย preferred.
  • Ability toย read, speak, and write in English.
  • Willingness to receiveย on-the-job training (OJT).
  • Preferred: 1 year of industry assembly experience, soldering experience, and ability to work overtime..
