Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Mechanical Assembler
Balance Staffing is hiring for a full-time Mechanical Assembler role, with operations in locations such as Hollister, CA.


Role Overview
The Mechanical Assembler is a mission-critical position focused on driving continuous improvement in assembly operations. The role involves working under direct supervision in explosive handling areas to ensure safe and precise assembly of energetic materials.


Key Responsibilities

  • Weigh and press inert and energetic materials.
  • Set up and operate an analytical balance.
  • Perform inert assembly operations.
  • Conduct minor cabling, potting, tinning, and assembly work.
  • Set up and operate a powder press for pressing operations.
  • Perform various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies.
  • Install sub-assemblies using visual aids, drawings, and verbal/written instructions.
  • Receive detailed instruction on new assignments.
  • Demonstrate proficient dexterity for safe handling of explosive devices.
  • Attend required offsite training (e.g., JSTD certification) to maintain compliance.
  • Be available for overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
  • Willingness to receive on-the-job training (OJT).
  • Preferred: 1 year of industry assembly experience, soldering experience, and ability to work overtime..
