Job Summary:
ECS Federal is a leading organization providing advanced technology solutions to defense, intelligence, and federal civilian agencies. They are seeking a Tech/Exploitation Analyst to support the analysis and exploitation of adversarial Unmanned Systems, contributing to operational intelligence and threat analysis.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Support the examination, characterization, documentation, and assessment of recovered, captured, acquired, or otherwise obtained UXS-related hardware, software, payloads, components, communications systems, and supporting technologies.
โ€ข Conduct technical exploitation support activities, including component identification, system analysis, technical documentation, software review, data extraction, forensic analysis, and technical reporting.
โ€ข Assist in the analysis of adversarial UXS platforms, subsystems, electronic components, control systems, payloads, communications links, data storage devices, sensors, and related technologies.
โ€ข Support the development of technical reports, exploitation summaries, intelligence updates, technical assessments, and vulnerability assessments related to adversarial UXS capabilities, configurations, tactics, and operational methods.
โ€ข Integrate technical exploitation findings into broader intelligence assessments, threat analysis products, targeting support efforts, and counter-UXS mission planning.
โ€ข Coordinate with operational personnel, all-source analysts, systems analysts, network analysts, engineers, forensic specialists, and external mission partners to validate findings and support mission outcomes.
โ€ข Assist in identifying emerging technologies, technical trends, system vulnerabilities, component sourcing patterns, exploitation opportunities, and evolving adversarial UXS capabilities.
โ€ข Maintain and update technical repositories, exploitation documentation, analytic references, component records, imagery, technical diagrams, chain-of-custody documentation, and mission support data related to adversarial UXS systems.
โ€ข Support briefings and written products for senior leaders, operational stakeholders, intelligence consumers, and interagency or mission partner audiences.
โ€ข Ensure technical exploitation activities are conducted in accordance with applicable security, handling, documentation, and intelligence oversight requirements.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Must be a US Citizen
โ€ข Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
โ€ข Must have a Bachelorโ€™s Degree in intelligence studies, engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, digital forensics, electronics, information technology, physics, criminal justice, or a related technical discipline preferred; additional years of relevant operational, military, intelligence, technical exploitation, electronics, forensics, or counter-UXS experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
โ€ข 5+ years of relevant experience.
โ€ข Prior experience supporting technical exploitation, intelligence analysis, counter-UXS, weapons technical intelligence, forensic exploitation, electronic systems analysis, or related mission areas.
โ€ข Familiarity with unmanned systems, UAS/UXS platforms, payloads, electronic components, communications equipment, sensors, navigation systems, control systems, or related technologies.
โ€ข Ability to support hands-on examination and documentation of technical equipment, components, circuit boards, data storage media, wiring, antennas, RF components, batteries, sensors, and related subsystems.
โ€ข Ability to assist with component identification, system characterization, software review, data extraction, forensic support, and technical reporting.
โ€ข Working knowledge of intelligence production, operational intelligence support, technical assessments, or threat analysis processes.
โ€ข Ability to produce clear, concise, and technically accurate written products, including exploitation notes, technical summaries, intelligence updates, and formal reports.
โ€ข Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including intelligence analysts, engineers, operational personnel, network analysts, systems analysts, and external mission partners.
โ€ข Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and briefing skills.
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple tasks in a mission-focused environment while maintaining attention to detail and compliance with security requirements.
Preferred:
โ€ข Prior experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, interagency, special operations, counterterrorism, counter-UXS, or technical exploitation missions.
โ€ข Experience supporting Special Mission Units, special operations forces, joint task forces, or other operational elements in an intelligence, technical exploitation, targeting, counter-UXS, or mission support capacity.
โ€ข Experience with adversarial UAS/UXS systems, commercial off-the-shelf drone platforms, modified unmanned systems, improvised payloads, or recovered technical material.
โ€ข Experience with electronics exploitation, hardware teardown, RF systems, communications analysis, embedded systems, firmware/software review, or digital forensics.
โ€ข Familiarity with forensic tools, data extraction methods, exploitation workflows, component databases, technical repositories, or intelligence reporting systems.
โ€ข Understanding of UXS command-and-control methods, telemetry systems, RF links, GNSS/GPS components, autopilot systems, sensors, payload integration, and commercial drone technologies.
โ€ข Experience preparing technical intelligence products, vulnerability assessments, capability assessments, or exploitation reports for operational or senior-level audiences.
โ€ข Ability to brief technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
โ€ข Experience coordinating with national-level agencies, laboratories, combatant commands, task forces, Special Operations Forces, Special Mission Units, or external mission partners.
