Description

Envision is seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented User Experience Designer to join our team at Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This is an onsite position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the plan, design and development activities to create the user experience for devices, tools and systems.
  • Responsible for establishing interactive conventions, assisting in gathering user requirements, mocking up user experiences, participating in trade-off discussions with development teams and subject matter experts, analyzing tool sets, creating screen mock-ups and helping customers to imagine new kinds of interactive techniques and technologies.
  • Applies visualization and screen design expertise to create a successful user experience.
  • Support UX Lead by conducting user research sessions (interviews, usability tests, contextual inquiries) to collect raw behavioral and attitudinal data.
  • Execute discussion guides, screeners, and research protocols as defined by the UX Lead.
  • Observe and document user behaviors, pain points, and patterns during sessions, distinguishing what users say from what they actually do or need.
  • Administer quantitative data collection methods (surveys, card sorting, tree testing) in support of research plans set by the UX Lead.
  • Compile and organize raw research data (notes, session artifacts) into clean, structured formats for UX lead to synthesize.

Required Skills:

  • Ten years' experience in User Experience Design.
  • Five years' experience within the last 10 years' experience leading project life cycle design.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional User Experience Design experience on projects with similar design may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • ย Experience with Information Technology: Three (3) years' experience with screen mock-up tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Visio, Axure) and related industry tools used to create visual displays and prototypes

Security Clearance Requirement:
Current/Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
