Position: UI/UX Teaching Assistant (TA)
Department: UI/UX Program
Reports To: UI/UX Faculty
Position Details
  • Type: Part-time, student position
  • Location: On campus at Ensign College, Salt Lake City, UT

Position Summary
Ensign College is seeking a UI/UX Teaching Assistant (TA) to support the growing UI/UX Associate of Applied Science degree and the UI Certificate program. The TA will provide meaningful assistance to faculty in managing new and upcoming UI courses, help enhance the student learning experience, and contribute to the development of tools and resources used in the program.
As a disciple of Jesus Christ, the TA will serve in a way that exemplifies Gospel-centered principles, uplifts others, and inspires hope. This role also includes promoting the program internally at Ensign College in alignment with approved policies and standards.
Responsibilities
  • Support faculty in managing and delivering UI/UX courses.
  • Assist with the UX design of applications that streamline grading and assignment feedback.
  • Promote the UI/UX program within Ensign College according to approved guidelines.
  • Provide design support and mentorship to students as needed.
  • Apply Christlike attributes in all interactions, fostering an environment of learning, service, and encouragement.
  • Collaborate with faculty to improve course materials and student experiences.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using AI tools to create, refine, and edit content.

Qualifications
  • Significant design experience as a student and/or through external projects or employment.
  • Proficiency with one or more design tools, such as Figma, Canva, or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Strong interpersonal and electronic communication skills.
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance design workflows and create/edit content.
