Job description

We are looking for an experienced and technically fluent Product Owner to join Travel Technology team in Phoenix. This is a high-impact role where you will own two API-based platforms at the heart of our travel services ecosystem — one powering hotel content and property data, the other driving our traveler booking and PNR record management capabilities.

This is not a backlog management role. We are looking for a product leader who takes initiative, engages deeply with both engineering and business stakeholders, and drives outcomes across the full product lifecycle — from strategy to delivery.

What You''ll Own

  • End-to-end product ownership of API-based travel platforms — hotel content management and traveler booking/PNR systems
  • Short-term sprint planning, mid-term roadmap prioritization, and long-term strategic vision
  • Day-to-day backlog health, prioritization decisions, and delivery accountability
  • Data analysis using SQL to surface insights, validate product decisions, and measure outcomes
  • Stakeholder alignment across engineering, operations, business, and compliance teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Proactive identification of gaps, risks, and opportunities — well beyond writing user stories

What You Bring

Required

  • 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner on API-first or API-based platforms
  • Strong hands-on SQL and data proficiency — you query and analyze data directly, not just consume dashboards
  • Demonstrated experience in the travel domain — understanding of how booking systems, PNR structures, or travel data flows work
  • Proven ability to own planning at multiple horizons — sprint, quarterly, and annual
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Track record of going beyond requirements documentation to actively drive product outcomes

Preferred

  • Experience with hotel content, property data, or hotel distribution systems (channel management, ARI — Availability, Rates & Inventory, hotel APIs)
  • Familiarity with GDS platforms — Sabre, Amadeus, or Travelport — particularly booking or hotel modules
  • Background at a TMC, OTA, or travel technology company (e.g., BCD, CWT, Egencia, Navan, Expedia, Booking.com, Spotnana, IBS Software)
  • Experience with PNR lifecycle management, itinerary consolidation, or mid-office booking platforms
