Senior Expatriate Coordinator (Japanese-English Bilingual)
Location: Manhattan, NY
Employment Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Salary: $60,000-$75,000 + bonus

About the Role
Our client, a global trading and investment organization, is seeking a detail-oriented bilingual professional to support Japanese expatriate employees throughout their assignments in the Americas.
Direct experience in expatriate administration, immigration, payroll, or tax is not required. Candidates with strong administrative experience, Excel skills, confidence working with numbers, and excellent attention to detail are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate expatriate onboarding, transfers, and departures
  • Maintain employee records, tracking reports, and payroll worksheets
  • Assist with payroll, allowances, reimbursements, and payment processing
  • Coordinate visa, immigration, and tax-related documentation
  • Review numerical data and identify errors or discrepancies
  • Respond to employee inquiries and communicate with headquarters in Japan, internal departments, and external vendors
  • Support HR administration and process-improvement projects

Qualifications
  • Fluent Japanese and business-level English
  • Strong administrative, coordination, or operations support experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with numerical data
  • Exceptional accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
