Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment Team. Our customers include both the U.S. Military and international governments and organizations. Our global reach and technical depth offer an endless amount of opportunities for up-and-coming Autonomic Logistics Information Systems (ALIS) or Mission Planning Environment (MPE) professionals seeking a place to make their mark - or for seasoned Autonomic Logistics Information Systems (ALIS) or Mission Planning Environment (MPE) professionals seeking their next career challenge. ALIS/MPE Administrators directly support JSF operations by assisting the customer meets their daily flight schedules and will serve as the point of contact in customer discussions during the flight and evaluation activities while maintaining system functionality. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access.
This is an expat position located in Ghedi Air Base near the town of Ghedi, Italy. We are seeking an experienced Administrator to work on the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)/ Mission Planning Environment (MPE) who will expatriate under SOFA privileges (to include SOFA-sponsored driver's license for Italy, access to US military bases in Italy for base exchange/commissary shopping privileges, access to US military health care facilities in Italy, etc.) to support our Italian AF (ItAF) customer. The successful candidate will serve as an ALIS Mission Planning Administrator responsible for supporting our ItAF customer to include all F-35 Mission planning but not limited to:
• Perform COMSEC duties and adhere to requirements.
• Reviewing processes/procedures, collect system operational data for analysis.
• Support, administer, and monitor associated hardware/software and pilot accounts.
• Backups, restores, and disaster recovery of systems/databases/network equipment pertaining to the MPSE Suite.
• Training ItAF/ALIS/MPE Administrators and users on the MPE Suite system as needed.
• Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with peers, Tier2 and engineers.
• Support pilots in Mission Planning/Debriefing and identify/resolve system shortfalls.
• Hardware control inventory.
• Monitoring system security configuration.
• Interacting daily with users and ALIS/LM leadership.
• Training and mentoring junior Security Administrators on system security operations, processes, and procedures.
• Regular monitoring of systems/applications for availability and performance.
Basic Qualifications
• Candidates must have a Secret security clearance or higher with investigation within the last 6 years.
• Ability to obtain and retain DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CASP+, or CISSP) within 60 days of hire
• Experience in security patching (e.g., IAVAs, IAVBs, IAVAMs, antivirus signatures, security definitions, etc.) and effects on the system
• Experience with security controls, security incidents, or security vulnerabilities
• This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit, the selected candidate may be required to work at deployed CONUS/OCONUS locations, support rotating shifts, and work over 40 hours per week-which may include weekends-as dictated by mission requirements.
Desired Skills
• Experience Troubleshooting Applications.
• Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) installation and data updates.
• Experienced in Information Security or System Administration.
• Familiar with auditing tools, e.g. SPLUNK.
• Account Maintenance with Active Directory/Oracle/CRM.
• Virtual Machine Management Service (Hyper-V / VMware).
• Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components.
• Applying updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates.
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator.
• Importing/Exporting large data volumes.
• Experience working for or supporting the US military/Foreign Military.
• A US DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, to include the JSF ALIS hardware and software.
• Prior experience working with pilots supporting F-35 ALIS Mission planning and Debrief.
• Knowledge of JMPS, Link-16, Mission Planning and Debrief, and/or COMSEC.
• A background working on a Fighter Program with familiarity of Mission Planning and Operations.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
