The Project Manager IT Senior is responsible for all aspects of complex projects. Initiates, defines, and manages multiple very high-profile projects of considerable complexity, at one time. Provides oversight to strategic projects, working closely with the leadership. Sets the strategic direction for assigned areas of responsibility, leveraging basic project management tools to deliver results. Facilitates the design of the Enterprise Project Management standards and methodology. Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities. Achieves operational objectives by delivering information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements and implementing change. Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Works closely with other project managers ensuring objectives and results are in line with expected results.

GENERAL DUTIES

Project Management & Administration:

  • Generates support and commitment to new ideas and their implementation.

  • Ensures assigned projects meet reasonable client requirements.

  • Effectively communicates project initiatives and change management activities.

  • Works effectively with vendors, business sponsors, stakeholders in development of sound solutions to business problems.

  • Operationalize strategic plans with timely execution of project/program deliverables.

  • Performs data management and analysis.

  • Facilitates design of Enterprise Project Management standards and methodology.

Expense & Resource Management:

  • Utilizes department resources/supplies efficiently.

  • Provides financial decision support and recommends improvements to the business model.

  • Leads the development and management of operational and capital budgets.

Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Responsible for directing, developing, and implementing operational projects as assigned.

  • Provides mentorship and leadership as needed to other staff members of project management team.

Communication & Documentation Support:

  • Maintains professional communication at all times.

  • Ensures accountability through timely follow-through and escalation as required.

Other Duties as Required:

  • Performs other required duties as assigned.

  • Establishes practices that meet or exceed customer expectations and fosters a customer-focused environment.

  • Analyses and assesses present and future needs, trends, challenges, and opportunities related to hospital operations.

  • Participates in strategic planning for designed areas.


EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: 5 years of experience managing multiple, highly complex projects that are high profile in nature.
