Job description

The Host/Hostess position is responsible for seating guests in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner and ensuring equal distribution of guests among servers. The Host/Hostess also ensures that guest experience and the environment is positive.

Essential Functions:

  • Greets and seats customers.
  • Supplies guests with information on services available on property.
  • Answers phone calls and directs them appropriately.
  • Accurately makes and cancels reservations.
  • Effectively maintains wait and quote times.
  • Takes orders over the phone, ensures all items are in a bag and ready for the guests.
  • May handle cash transactions at the host stand.
  • Accommodates any special needs of guests, i.e., boosters, highchairs, etc.

Performs other tasks as assigned.
