Position Information
Job Title Adjunct Instructor Pool - Kinesiology Position Summary
Designs and delivers instruction in undergraduate courses offered by the Department of Kinesiology (as instructor education and experience allows), including but not limited to: courses in exercise science, physical education teacher preparation, recreation administration, first aid and safety, and activity/fitness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares lessons and delivers instruction.
  • Adheres to the faculty handbook and faculty guide.
  • Meets classes for the required time and days in accordance with policies established for class schedule.
  • Submits attendance, grades and other required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.

Please list area of expertise (i.e.. activity, exercise physiology, biomechanics, pedagogy, sport management) under school major.
Education, Certifications and/or Licenses
  • Master's Degree required: Earned Master's Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science or related field or 18 Hours of course work in Kinesiology from an accredited institution.
  • Activity courses may require specialized instructor certification. (ie. yoga, martial arts, scuba, WSI)
Experience
  • Prior teaching experience and experience in the subject matter is preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively with other University personnel.
  • Ability to comply with rules, standards, regulations and laws related to student records.
  • Ability to adhere to University and department policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use discretion in handling confidential and sensitive issues, FERPA.
