Job description

Scope of Position


The Plant Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while meeting safety, cost, and performance objectives. This role provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership to drive operational excellence through a team of supervisors and managers.


Responsibilities


  • Lead, direct, and coordinate all plant operations to achieve production, quality, and cost targets.
  • Ensure production objectives are consistently met through effective planning, resource allocation, and performance management.
  • Oversee end-to-end plant functions including manufacturing, quality assurance, warehousing, receiving, and shipping.
  • Maintain accountability for product quality, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Direct maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of plant equipment, facilities, and security systems.
  • Participate in strategic planning and align plant operations with overall organizational goals.
  • Review and approve decisions related to staffing, compensation, and operational expenditures.
  • Foster a strong culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and promoting best practices.
  • Lead employee relations initiatives, including training, development, engagement, and retention programs.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in food manufacturing, recommending and implementing process improvements and operational enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operational challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Education & Experience
