Job Summary
Prepare patients for stress tests by explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have.
Apply electrodes and other monitoring devices to patients to measure their heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs during the test.
Administer stress tests, such as exercise stress tests or pharmacological stress tests, to evaluate the patient's cardiovascular health.
Monitor patients during the stress test and responding to any issues or complications that arise.
Document results of the stress test and communicating them to the supervising physician.
Maintain equipment and ensuring that it is functioning properly.
Assist in the scheduling of stress tests and other cardiology procedures.
Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs.
Performs other duties as assigned

Education
Bachelor's Degree Exercise Physiology required or Bachelor's Degree Kinesiology required or Master's Degree Exercise Physiology preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience
experience working in an acute care hospital/cardiac rehabilitation program 2-3 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skillfully utilize and maintain specialized equipment, devices and computer program.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of acceptable ranges of blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation and EKG and reports any abnormal values to RN.
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently with only general supervision.
