About this Position:
As a Pulmonary Rehab Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for delivering and documenting care for Pulmonary Rehab Phase II and Phase III outpatients, tailored to the services provided at your specific location. You will assess patient needs and diagnoses, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes to ensure patients achieve their goals. You will direct and coordinate care based on established Pulmonary Rehab practice standards outlined by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, demonstrating proficiency in Pulmonary Rehab core competencies. You will use your knowledge of guidelines, standards, and reimbursement to support high-quality care and collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure efficient, effective care delivery and positive patient outcomes. In this role, you will contribute to Lee Health's mission and vision, applying your understanding of patients' age, cultural diversity, and individual needs in care delivery. You will also support quality improvement and customer service initiatives, using performance improvement techniques to enhance patient care and outcomes.
What this Position Requires:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology required.
Experience: Pulmonary Rehab clinical practice (12 weeks) required; 1-3 years' experience preferred.
Certification: BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred. ACSM Exercise Specialist certification and/or Registered Exercise Physiologist. In lieu of certification, 3-5 years' experience in Cardiac Rehab will be considered.
License: N/A
Other: Must be a team player and have good critical thinking, organization, communication, teaching, interpersonal, customer service, analytical and computer skills.
