Job description

Beacon Health System is seeking a passionate Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and rehabilitation specialists to develop and deliver individualized exercise programs that help patients improve cardiovascular and pulmonary health, regain independence, and achieve lasting wellness.
This position is ideal for professionals with expertise in exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, wellness coaching, EKG monitoring, and patient education who are looking to make a meaningful impact within a leading healthcare organization.
What You'll Do
  • Conduct patient assessments including BMI, body composition, and exercise evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized exercise prescriptions utilizing ACSM guidelines.
  • Monitor patient progress, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms during exercise sessions.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and patient care conferences.
  • Educate patients on exercise, lifestyle modifications, and disease management strategies.
  • Recognize and respond to emergency situations while maintaining a safe rehabilitation environment.
  • Maintain rehabilitation equipment and ensure compliance with departmental safety standards.
  • Support cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs, wellness initiatives, and special events.
  • Deliver exceptional patient-centered care that aligns with Beacon's mission and values.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, or related field required.
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation experience preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • ACLS certification preferred or obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP), Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP), or AACVPR CCRP certification required within one year of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of exercise prescription, EKG interpretation, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and exercise equipment.
