Job description

The Department ofBiological Sciences in Greenville Technical College's School of Arts andSciences invites qualified individuals to apply for Instructor/AssistantProfessor positions in General Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology,and Medical Terminology.

The Department enrollsmore than 2500 students each semester and approximately 800 students in thesummer. The Department employs 25 full-time faculty members, and over 20part-time, and offers undergraduate courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology,Zoology, Botany, Genetics, Ecology, Environmental Science, Nutrition, MolecularBiology, Immunology, Research in the Biological Sciences, and General Biologyfor majors and non-majors.

Our mission is toprovide students with challenging life science curricula, quality teaching, andpurposeful learning opportunities. We recognize our responsibility to providehigh-quality undergraduate life science education and to offer traditional,online, and blended learning course options that transfer to four-year collegesand universities. Departmental offerings meet the needs of students majoring inAssociate of Arts and Sciences, as well as Nursing, Dental Hygiene, EmergencyMedical Technology, Radiologic Technology, and others in the Health and Wellnessand Public Service Programs.

In this challengingrole, you will be supporting the OU.DIVISION department at Greenville TechnicalCollege. Duties may include any or all of the following.
