Job description

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Education
      • A.S Graduation from a two year or longer AMA approved therapist school is desirable. Must be licensed as a respiratory therapist in the state of Arkansas.
    • Experience
      • Previous experience desirable but not necessary. Should possess extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and clinical medicine. Must be able to exercise judgment and accept greater responsibility in therapeutic procedures based on patient observation.
    • Physical
      • This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information.
      • Normal hospital environment. Normal/ corrected eyesight. Full range of hearing. Operates computer, IPPB, CPAP, BIPAP and other various respiratory equipment. Lifts and carries up to 30lbs. Pushes and pulls up to 70lbs. Frequent sitting, standing and walking.
  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Prepares treatment medications, administers prescribed treatments and performs various departmental procedures and duties all under general supervision.
