Job description

Department: Health Mgmt Ctr Admin
Shift: Day
Working Hours: 8:00- 5:00 pm
Summary:
The Exercise Physiologist provides direct patient care to individuals participating in inpatient or outpatient cardiac and vascular rehabilitation programs. Responsible for coordinating a multidisciplinary treatment plan to meet the clinical and educational needs of heart patients and patients at risk for cardiovascular disease. Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop, implement, and monitor the patient's cardiac rehabilitation therapy program. Operates long term within the guidelines and practices of the American College of Sports Medicine and American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPEREINCE
  1. Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Kinesiology.
  2. Minimum of two years of exercise science experience.
  3. Hold an American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Physiologist Certification
  4. Complete continuing education and training to maintain certification.
  5. Certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  6. Completion of Rhythm Strip Course.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
