Position Summary
The Industrial Injury Prevention Specialist plays a vital role in helping employees stay healthy, safe, and productive. This position works directly within industrial and workplace environments to identify injury risks, provide ergonomic solutions, conduct employee screenings, and deliver educational programs focused on injury prevention and wellness.
The ideal candidate is passionate about health promotion, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a dynamic workplace setting.
Key Responsibilities

Ergonomic Assessments
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations in manufacturing, warehouse, construction, and office environments.
  • Identify risk factors for musculoskeletal and repetitive stress injuries.
  • Recommend workstation modifications, equipment adjustments, and safe work practices.
New Hire Physical Ability Screening
  • Perform employer-designed post-offer physical ability and safety assessments.
  • Evaluate candidates' ability to safely perform essential job functions.
  • Accurately document screening results and communicate findings.
Injury Prevention & Employee Education
  • Deliver ergonomic consultations and one-on-one coaching.
  • Conduct group presentations, stretching programs, and injury prevention workshops.
  • Educate employees on body mechanics, posture, lifting techniques, and workplace safety.
Job-Specific Conditioning Programs
  • Develop and implement conditioning, stretching, and warm-up programs designed to meet the physical demands of specific job roles.
  • Promote injury resilience and physical readiness among employees.
Health & Wellness Promotion

  • Encourage healthy lifestyle habits related to fitness, nutrition, hydration, recovery, and stress management.
  • Support workforce wellness initiatives and employee engagement programs.
Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare detailed reports on ergonomic assessments, employee screenings, and training outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with company and client requirements.
  • Track program effectiveness and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Work Environment
  • On-site at manufacturing facilities, warehouses, construction sites, and other industrial settings.
  • Collaborative work with safety managers, HR professionals, supervisors, and occupational health teams.
  • Active role that may require standing, walking, lifting, and interacting with employees throughout the workday.
Qualifications
Required
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent documentation and report-writing skills.
Preferred
  • Athletic Trainer (ATC), Medical Assistant, Exercise Physiologist, Kinesiologist, Ergonomic Assessment Specialist, or related healthcare professional.
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Promotion, Occupational Health, or related field.
  • Certification or training in medical tech, workplace health, or injury prevention.
