The Role of Coach:

As a Coach at The Exercise Coach, your duties will include:

Studio Culture

Demonstrate a polite, professional, and helpful attitude toward clients and co-workers.

Maintain a cooperative and “team” mentality at all times.

Demonstrate the value of our brand by actively participating in our fitness program.

Personal Development

Act as an effective brand ambassador inside and outside the studio.

Maintain a functional knowledge of fitness-related topics, especially those discussed in corporate communications from the brand.

Model professionalism through appropriate attire, language, attitude, personal hygiene, promptness, honesty, and integrity

Administrative Responsibilities

Administration of client accounts, including the completion of all necessary forms, credit card charges, data entry, and clerical duties as directed by Studio manager.

Respond promptly to all email correspondence, phone calls, and text messages from clients, prospects, co-workers, and supervisors.

Client Acquisition & Retention

Conduct initial consultations and promotional sessions with prospective clients when assigned.

Promptly contact clients who are falling behind in their attendance in accordance with our client retention strategy. Log such activities in a prompt and accurate manner.

Actively contact former clients in accordance with our reacquisition strategy.

Studio Maintenance

Contribute to and oversee the maintenance of a clean and well-organized studio.

Notify the owner of any required repairs.

Miscellaneous

Maintain a functional knowledge of all other policies and procedures found within the Employee Handbook.

Ensure personal compliance with those policies

No fitness experience is necessary, but candidates with some experience in personal training or small-group fitness instruction will receive priority consideration. All employees will receive full training in The Exercise Coach methods and technologies and must be able and willing to participate both in our exercise and nutrition methodology.

This role is great for you if you have:

Passion for Health & Fitness: This is where it all begins!

Good Communication Skills: You must be comfortable conversing in person and on the phone and know how to conduct yourself professionally, and deliver clear instructions to the clients.

People skills and personality: You must LOVE working with people! As mentioned above you must be very comfortable working with people. This is an exciting studio and you must be able to show your clients energy and excitement while working with them.

Health and Fitness Education: A college degree in a health-related field is nice, but not required. However, fundamental knowledge of exercise science and human biology is essential. You do not need a great deal of personal training experience, but you should have a working knowledge of the human body and the various components of good health and fitness. If you do not have knowledge in this area, training will be provided to get you there.
