We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Writer to support our CST Technical Communication team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a hybrid model, allowing you to collaborate with our team onsite 3-4 days per week, while also enjoying the flexibility of remote work.
Responsibilities
- Author and revise Instructions for Use (IFUs) and eIFU content in structured XML (DITA-like).
- Manage content through the Client and quality system publishing pipeline.
- Perform IFU change effect analysis and support translation/localization review workflows.
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners (R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and software packaging/testing) to deliver documentation on project timelines.
- Support active medical device delivery and release work under regulatory oversight.
- Create, develop, plan, write, and edit operational, instructional, maintenance, or test procedures for paper, multimedia, web-based publications, and user sites.
- Conduct interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation.
- Research and translate technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for nontechnical and technical users.
- Recommend formats responsive to technical and customer requirements.
- Produce products that conform to company documentation and quality assurance standards.
Must Have
- Ability to manage structured content (such as HTML, XML).
- Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker or other professional publishing tools.
- Experience with Structured FrameMaker.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience in the medical device or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Vasont Content Management System.
Top 3 Technical Skills Required
- Structured authoring (Structured FrameMaker, Oxygen, or comparable), including Client-based content management.
- Medical device IFU development (regulated industry experience for technical communications).
- Quality system processes (change effect analysis, requirements traceability, translation workflows).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
