Job description

We're looking for a Social Media Editor to join our team. The Social Media Editor is responsible for the strategy, content, calendars, and coordinating with internal & external teams.

Our new Social Media Editor is a passionate self-starter who will work with and support our team across a variety of accounts and learn from some of the best in the industry. Our team works with high profile clientele, so discretion is expected.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who excels in a fast-paced, versatile environment. Our entire team is hands-on and growing quickly, we're looking for someone who can also bring their experience and a fresh perspective to the table. This person must be interested in editorial, copywriting, curation, pop culture, administration, photo research — and can pick up on some tedious details. We are looking for someone who is excited about social media, branding, creative direction, and seeing a brand grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all requests for information from your teammates, clients, and other employees in a respectful, timely, and professional way.
  • Copywriting & Calendar Creation
  • Conduct media searches, audits, and research for client projects.
  • Create weekly and monthly status reports for your team members.
  • Coordinate all team and client meetings as assigned including scheduling dial-ins, calendar invites, locations, agendas, and other tasks as needed.
  • Daily media monitoring of your assigned accounts.
  • Draft agendas and recaps for all client calls and meetings
  • Create and maintain media lists and coverage reports
  • Maintain records and organize photo archives.
  • Work with the team to build weekly/monthly status reports for clients.
  • Daily social media monitoring of your assigned accounts.

Please apply if you…

  • have a Bachelor's in Writing, Journalism, Communication, or Media Studies.
  • have 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in a strategic, creative agency, or fast-moving startup environment.
  • are extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to keep the bigger picture in mind.
  • have exceptional written and verbal communication skills — copywriting experience is a plus.
  • are a creative problem solver, and can juggle different things at once.
  • have the ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, atmosphere.
  • have a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
