JOB DESCRIPTION


JOB TITLE: Calibration Technician

DEPARTMENT: JAE Houston, LLC

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

SUPERVISES: None

POSITION TYPE: Non-exempt


GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing the calibration work for JAEโ€™s and/or third partyโ€™s directional module package and/or similar products for the oil & gas industry for the Houston Repair Center. The individual will also record data gathered during calibration and enter the data into the system.


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  1. General calibration work which consists of:
    1. Visual inspection
    2. Identifying the productโ€™s defective performance with calibration stand and system
    3. Performing and adjusting calibration using the calibration equipment (jigs and data gathering software)
    4. Monitor the Calibration Stand ovens for issues and take appropriate action to complete the calibration
    5. Troubleshooting testing failures

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


Education: High School Diploma


Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of calibration or related operational experience in the Oil and Gas Industry


Skills: Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

BUSINESS TRAVEL:


This position requires no traveling.


PHYSICAL DEMAND:

This position requires lifting up to 30 pounds frequently. Standing for up to 8 hours.
