ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Manager, Product Development & Production on our Men's team, you are the architect of our apparel categories. You'll blend market research and trend analysis to develop styles that outperform the competition in quality, price, and design. From optimizing our current vendor base to scouting new global partners, you'll lead the charge in making our products the best in the market. This role is for a strategic thinker who balances the technical side of garment construction with the business savvy needed to hit target costs and lead times.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive Development: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of all new styles, from initial counter-development through final production.
  • Execute Strategy: Ensure the apparel business plan translates into high-quality products that hit seasonal goals.
  • Calendar Mastery: Build and manage precise T&A calendars across all global factories to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Financial Oversight: Analyze quotes and negotiate fabric, trim, and yarn costs to hit aggressive target margins.
  • Production Integrity: Monitor daily status of lab dips, strike-offs, and technical specs, ensuring total compliance with brand standards.
  • Tactile Approval: Evaluate all fabrics and yarns for hand-feel, weight, and quality using expert technical knowledge.
  • Denim & Wash Expertise: Lead wash development and manage wash band ranges for premium denim execution.
  • Sample Management: Oversee the approval of protos, fits, and patterns from initial sketch to final placement.
  • Global Liaison: Maintain daily communication with overseas offices and vendors to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Leadership: Build, train, and mentor a growing product development team.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with Buying and Marketing to align on product knowledge and successful launches.
  • Market Intel: Travel for comp shopping and trade shows to keep our assortments ahead of industry trends.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Tech & Logistics: Proficient in Google Suite/Office with elite organization and time-management skills.
  • Master Negotiator: Strong follow-up skills with the ability to influence and secure favorable pricing.
  • Effective Communicator: Able to articulate complex product details clearly to both internal teams and global partners.
  • Detail-Obsessed: Sharp attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality in a fast-paced setting.
  • Agile Thinker: Highly independent, proactive, and capable of pivoting priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Background: AFA/AA in Fashion Merchandising or Business, or equivalent industry experience - prior experience in Men's apparel is ideal.
  • Languages: English required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Availability: Monday - Friday | Core Business Hours | Onsite in Beverly Hills
