Job description

The Corporate Investigator is an individual contributor responsible for investigating reports of internal theft, vandalism, fraud, suspicious activity, and violations of company policy in a high-tech corporate environment. Reporting to the GI Regional Manager - AMER, this role utilizes technology, analysis, interviewing, and assessment techniques to protect and safeguard personnel, information, and assets. Investigations range from moderate to complex in nature, with collaboration on high-profile or sensitive matters.

This is an on-site role with occasional travel.
Key job responsibilities
Analyze CCTV video, access control systems, and other data collection capabilities to identify behaviors, root causes, locations, potential evidence, and person(s) involved
Organize, prioritize, and investigate multiple incidents as part of a managed caseload with overlapping deadlines and priorities
Collect, document, and preserve evidence (video, still images, documents, written notes) and maintain them within the investigations workflow and case adjudication process
Conduct interview of victims, witnesses, and persons of interest utilizing established interviewing techniques
Investigate threats from external sources and internal incidents including theft of assets/intellectual property, vandalism, and suspicious activity across the enterprise
Utilize a structured investigative workflow and case management system to track investigations, analyze trends, and identify root cause to mitigate loss
Demonstrate clear and precise written and verbal communication, including empathetic engagement during stressful and non-stressful situations
Actively participate in training and mentoring opportunities, seek feedback, and share knowledge with peers
Assist in compiling and publishing case management metrics
A day in the life
A typical day as a Corporate Investigator begins with reviewing your active caseload and prioritizing tasks based on urgency and complexity. You might start by reviewing CCTV footage related to a reported theft, then transition to conducting a witness/victim/person of interest interview for a separate fraud investigation. Throughout the day, you'll document findings in a case management system, collaborate with your regional team on emerging incidents, and consult with your Regional Manager on sensitive matters

You'll balance independent investigative work with team coordination, sharing insights, supporting peers on complex cases, and contributing to trend analysis that helps prevent future incidents. No two days are exactly alike, and the role requires adaptability, critical thinking, and a commitment to protecting people and assets across the enterprise.
About the team
The Enterprise Protection Program - Global Investigations (EPP-GI) team is a specialized unit within Corporate Security & Investigations dedicated to safeguarding personnel, information, and assets across the global enterprise.
