Job description

Process, sort, and load freight specifically designated for UPS or other parcel carriers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Loading & Unloading: Safely lifting, sorting, and loading/unloading packages and pallets into trailers or delivery vehicles.
  • Scanning & Sorting: Using handheld RF scanners to track inventory and route packages to the correct shipping destination.
  • Equipment Operation: Operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or reach trucks.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering strictly to OSHA and company safety protocols, including lifting heavy items and wearing required protective gear. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Requirements & Physical Demands
  • Physical Strength: Must be able to continuously lift, lower, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs or more.
  • Endurance: Involves constant standing, walking, bending, and reaching for the duration of the shift.
  • Experience: 6 months to 1 year of prior warehouse or logistics experience is often preferred, though on-the-job training is provided.
