Job description

Job Summary
The role of the Nordic Rocks Lead is to facilitate the daily operations of Nordic Rocks, the signature outreach program of Crystal Community Ski Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, reaching over 700 youth annually.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meet CCSC expectations including Great Service, Quality Programming, and Safe Recreation.
  • Assist in creating and implementing daily communications to staff.
  • Assist coaches to separate and coordinate groups in the most effective and efficient manner.
  • Ensure coaches are following policies & procedures and report concerns to CCSC Leadership.
  • Ensure all paperwork is turned in and reviewed for completion as students arrive.
  • Communicate regularly with the CCSC Executive Director and Director of Operations.
  • Coordinate coach assignments for all groups.
  • Take an accurate head count of each group.
  • Work cooperatively with the Crystal Mountain Nordic Department to ensure that we effectively share space with paying guests.
  • Ensure snacks and hot chocolate are prepared for groups.
  • Report to CCSC leadership when supplies (snacks, name tags, etc) are needed.
  • Work cooperatively with the Crystal Mountain Nordic Department to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility and effective programming.
  • Assist to maintain records on attendance, participants, incident reports, personnel, etc.
  • Assist with parent or teacher concerns and relations in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communicate staff concerns/interests with CCSC leadership.
  • Report any concerns and suggestions of guests, families, participants, and staff in a timely and responsible manner to the CCSC leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications
Competencies:
  • Passion for the sport.

  • Strong Guest service, organizational & communication skills.
  • Experience with Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Outlook preferred.
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to maximize use of time, resources and technology.

  • Dependable and meets goals.
  • Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.

Education:
  • GED or High School Equivalent
  • Combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position
  • PSIA Nordic Certification preferred

Physical & Other Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work on one's feet for majority of workday.
  • Evenings, weekends, and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
  • Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
  • Non-smoking candidates preferred.
