Who we're looking for
Toyota's Treasury department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Treasury ALM & Analytics Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide critical thought-leadership and experience on Interest Rate Risk (IRR), Liquidity Risk, Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Valuation, and Financial Forecasting utilizing measures such as Net Interest Income (NII), Earnings at Risk (EAR), Economic Value of Equity (EVE), and other Key Risk Indicators. The candidate will help maintain and automate financial analytical reports and dashboards with deep understanding of data and databases. In addition, the candidate is expected to have good problem-solving skills and understand complex processes.
Reporting to the Manager, Treasury Risk & Analytics, the person in this role will support the Treasury department's objective to manage balance sheet and liquidity strategy for the company.
What you'll be doing
  • Develop complex financial Asset Liability Management (ALM) models in Empyrean/ Excel/SQL to be used as the primary source for TMCC/TFSB/Other Global SFC Asset/Liability Management program.
  • Develop, maintain and grow automated processes leveraging Excel, VBA, Tableau, Power BI, python, Snowflake, .Net, C# etc.
  • Advise finance subsidiaries on treasury management activities, practices and procedures ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines and review and provide input on funding forecasts and associated funding programs.
  • Provide analytical support for management forums including Asset/Liability Committee (ALCO) decisions by conducting robust and comprehensive market and financial analysis to support strategy, proposals and market transactions.
  • Conduct balance sheet analysis, analyze economic impact and build ALM strategies.
  • Develop sophisticated interest rate and liquidity risk analyses (e.g. Value at Risk, Monte Carlo simulations) to be used for enhanced managerial reporting.
  • Collaborate with Treasury Front Office to develop hedging and funding strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Credit Risk and Economic Capital teams to produce balance sheet and net interest income forecasts for annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, risk appetite and other scenarios.

What you bring
  • BA or BS or higher in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, other relevant fields or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of the financial statements.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, VBA, Python and/or other programming skills.
  • Strong technical, data, and analytical skills, including experience with database platforms such as SQL.
  • Strong proficiency with building reports in MS Excel
  • Experience leading presentations and sharing insights with a broad range of colleagues including an executive-level audience

Added bonus if you have
  • MBA or an advanced degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance or related fields
  • CFA charter-holder
  • Practical experience with ALM analysis and/or financial modeling
  • Hands-on experience configuring and using ALM tools (e.g., Empyrean, Bancware, QRM)
  • Experience using reporting tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, Power BI
