Job description

Our client is a privately owned manufacturing company in the Greater Atlanta looking for local candidates only that are still early on in their logistics and supply chain career.

Reporting directly to the COO, this newly created role offers the opportunity to own the company's transportation and logistics strategy while leading the broader end-to-end supply chain. If you're looking for a role where you can make decisions, implement new ideas quickly, and have a direct impact on the business, we'd like to talk.

This is not a large corporate environment where you're responsible for one function. You'll wear multiple hats, partner closely with Operations, and help build a scalable supply chain capable of supporting the company's continued growth.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the company's transportation and logistics strategy across inbound international freight and outbound domestic distribution.
  • Negotiate carrier agreements, manage freight spend, develop carrier relationships and identify opportunities to improve cost, service and delivery performance.
  • Manage international ocean freight, supplier logistics, container optimization and inbound transportation.
  • Lead outbound LTL, truckload and parcel transportation while improving customer service and reducing freight costs.
  • Drive S&OP, inventory planning, supplier performance and end-to-end supply chain execution.
  • Partner with Operations, Production, Customer Service and Finance to improve visibility, execution and operational performance.
  • Leverage ERP systems, dashboards and analytics to make data-driven decisions and improve supply chain performance.
  • Build scalable processes, challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.

What We're Looking For

  • Progressive Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience managing both international inbound freight and domestic outbound transportation.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating carrier contracts, managing freight spend and developing transportation strategies that deliver measurable cost savings.
  • Experience with S&OP, inventory planning, supplier management and cross-functional operations.
  • Strong analytical and technology skills with ERP systems, Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • A hands-on leader who enjoys solving problems, taking ownership and rolling up their sleeves.
  • Someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats and wants to help build something rather than simply manage an existing process.

Why This Opportunity?

  • Report directly to the COO and work alongside executive leadership.
  • Own the transportation strategy while influencing the entire supply chain.
  • Join a growing, privately owned manufacturing company where your ideas can be implemented quickly.
  • Broad leadership opportunity with significant visibility and long-term career growth.
  • Strong culture built around collaboration, continuous improvement and doing what's best for the customer.

If you're looking for an opportunity to move beyond managing one piece of the supply chain and into a role where you can truly influence the direction of the business, we'd welcome the opportunity to connect.
