Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Senior Project Manager for our client in Calgary, AB. This 12-month contract opportunity is ideal for a highly experienced project leader with a proven track record of delivering large-scale enterprise technology and business transformation initiatives.

In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for complex programs, partnering with executive stakeholders, business leaders, technology teams, systems integrators, and external vendors to ensure successful project execution and organizational outcomes. This position is best suited for a results-driven professional with extensive project management expertise, strong organizational change management capabilities, and experience leading multi-million-dollar initiatives from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities:

Program & Project Delivery

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale enterprise technology and business transformation programs
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives
  • Establish project governance frameworks, controls, reporting structures, and risk management processes
  • Oversee multiple workstreams and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide leadership across business and technology teams, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
  • Build strong relationships with executive sponsors, project stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership and steering committees
  • Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholder groups to support project success

Strategic Planning & Business Alignment

  • Develop and manage strategic project roadmaps aligned with organizational priorities
  • Identify project dependencies, resource requirements, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Ensure technology initiatives support long-term business goals and operational requirements
  • Translate business objectives into executable project plans and delivery strategies

Vendor & Resource Management

  • Manage relationships with consulting partners, systems integrators, and third-party vendors
  • Oversee contract deliverables, performance expectations, budgets, and service levels
  • Coordinate resources across multiple teams and resolve competing priorities
  • Ensure effective resource allocation and utilization throughout project lifecycles

Governance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish project KPIs and performance metrics
  • Deliver reporting to leadership teams and governance committees
  • Drive data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor project risks, issues, budgets, schedules, and organizational impacts

Change Leadership

  • Lead organizational change management activities associated with major transformation initiatives

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive project and program management experience
  • Proven experience leading large-scale enterprise technology and business transformation initiatives
  • Strong Prosci change management experience required
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-million-dollar budgets and complex programs
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including executive leadership and steering committees
  • Proven experience delivering projects from business case development through implementation and operational transition
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies
  • Strong understanding of project governance, budgeting, financial management, and risk management
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise applications, cloud technologies, IT infrastructure, data management, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Ability to align technology solutions with business objectives
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Additional certifications such as Prosci Change Management, Agile/Scrum, SAFe, or ITIL are considered assets
