Job description

The work:

The SAP Real Property Lease SME will lead the analysis, design, and greenfield implementation of S/4HANA Acquire to Retire (A2R) and Real Estate business processes. They will act as the functional expert for the end-to-end real property and asset lifecycle, from initial capital budgeting and project construction (AuC) to asset capitalization, real estate portfolio management, facilities maintenance, and final retirement. This role ensures that all property, plant, and equipment (PP&E) and real estate data is accurately captured, managed in a "clean core" S/4 environment, and remains compliant with federal financial reporting standards and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greenfield Fit-to-Standard Leadership: Lead A2R and Real Estate requirement gathering workshops using SAP Activate methodology. Guide clients through standard S/4HANA capabilities to minimize customizations and define future-state processes
  • Real Estate (REFX) & Maintenance (PM) Configuration: Configure SAP Flexible Real Estate Management (REFX) for property portfolio management, lease administration, and architectural/usage views. Integrate with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) for functional locations, equipment master data, and facility maintenance work orders
  • Public Sector & Federal Integration: Ensure asset transactions correctly interface with Funds Management (FM) to track appropriated funds for capital expenditures. Support compliance with federal reporting mandates (e.g., GSA reporting, FIAR)
  • Greenfield Data Migration: Lead the complex mapping and migration of legacy real estate, equipment, and fixed asset data into S/4HANA. Ensure historical depreciation, accumulated costs, and active leases are reconciled with the General Ledger
  • Testing & User Enablement: Write and execute comprehensive test scripts for asset acquisitions, real estate contracts, and maintenance processes. Deploy and train users on relevant SAP Fiori apps for property inventory, project monitoring, and capital spend analytics.

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of SAP experience
  • One full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation (Greenfield preferred)
  • Experience in Lease Management, CLM, and SFFAS 54
  • Technical/functional configuration experience in SAP REFX and SAP PM, alongside deep knowledge of FI-AA and PS
  • Ability to troubleshoot integration errors, analyze asset journals, and configure standard workflows for asset disposals, transfers, or lease approvals

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Capital Investment Management and the settlement logic from project to fixed assets
  • Bachelor's degree in related field

Eligibility Requirements:

  • US Citizens only (no duals)
  • Active Secret clearance
