The Role

Throne is a fast-growing startup revolutionizing how cities and businesses provide public restroom infrastructure. With flagship customers like the District of Columbia, LA Metro, and the City of New York. We are revolutionizing the way American cities and businesses approach bathrooms, and are expanding rapidly within existing markets and breaking ground in new territories.

We're looking for a strategic Senior Account Executive to lead growth in existing markets and new markets on the East Coast. Reporting directly to the VP of Revenue, you will own revenue growth, contracting process, and spearhead our sales strategy across your region.

Responsibilities
  • Own the full-cycle sales from qualification through close for strategic city and transit agency opportunities
  • Navigate government budgeting cycles, SLED procurement processes, RFPs, multiple levels of stakeholders, and long sales cycles with minimal oversight
  • Build and execute a market density strategy, deepening penetration within targeted metro areas
  • Structure and negotiate contract terms in partnership with the VP of Revenue and Co-Founder/COO
  • Work closely with the Account Management team through go-live
  • Partner closely with Operations, Product, Finance, Marketing, and Executives to develop winning strategies, support implementation, and provide feedback that influences the company's growth
  • Domestic travel is expected and encouraged, up to about 20% annually
Qualifications
  • 715 years of experience sales experience to cities and transit agencies
  • Background selling physical goods with technology components
  • Demonstrated expertise in public agency budgeting and contracting processes
  • Proven history of closing strategic accounts. Examples may include: NYC, LA, Miami, Boston, DART, WMATA, CTA
  • Track record of building market density, expanding footprint and account concentration within a metro or region
  • Comfort with government procurement, including sole sourcing, RFPs, and long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Located in a major metropolitan East Coast city, with strong preference for NY, DC, Atlanta, or Philadelphia

Salary and Benefits

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $110,000-140,000, in addition to uncapped commission potential. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's applicable experience and skills. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including equity.
