Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to support the CEO, lead the administrative team, and oversee the company's HR operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with exceptional time management skills, strong HR knowledge, and the ability to lead high-performing teams. This role requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage high-impact initiatives that contribute to Red Leaf's growth and success.


Key Responsibilities

Executive Support

  • Communicate company-wide announcements and organizational updates
  • Manage executive expense reporting, receipt collection, and reimbursements
  • Lead high-priority special projects as assigned
  • Exercise discretion when handling sensitive financial, HR, or strategic information

Administration Management

  • Supervise Admin team, including accounting, facilities, fleet, and warranty
  • Assist with tax preparation and coordination with CEO and CPA
  • Support legal, insurance, licensing, and safety compliance with external partners

Human Resources

  • Manage all Workers' Compensation claims
  • Facilitate employee health benefits and annual open enrollment
  • Oversee 401(k) plan with CEO
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes
  • Administer employee safety program

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business operations, finance, or administration (construction industry preferred)
  • Experience supporting high-level executives
  • Knowledge of construction financial operations preferred (WIP, job costing, retainage, billing)
  • Experience managing HR and internal business systems
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Smartsheet, and spreadsheets/databases
  • Strong alignment with Red Leaf's Core Values

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stoop, crawl, kneel, bend, twist, reach, and perform fine motor tasks
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods (up to 10 hours per day)
  • Willingness to submit to drug and background screening

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary: $85,000 - $100,000, based on experience and qualifications
