Job Description
A premier, diversified healthcare delivery network is seeking a dynamic and strategic Nursing Director (RN) to lead all aspects of Emergency Services at a major 263-bed acute care referral hospital.
The Emergency Department is one of the largest and busiest regional trauma units in the network, managing approximately 46,000 patients annually. Backed by a high-performing collaborative team of 70 RNs and auxiliary nursing support staff, the department features a 36-bed main ER alongside a specialized 8-bed senior-focused Emergency Services unit. This fast-paced, team-oriented leadership environment provides an exceptional opportunity to drive clinical excellence, manage large-scale operations, and elevate the patient care continuum.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Serve as the accountable operational leader for all Emergency Services, designing and implementing innovative programs to enhance clinical performance.
  • Team & Resource Management: Oversee and manage a comprehensive team of 70 RNs and support personnel; handle clinical scheduling, performance metrics, and staff engagement.
  • Financial & Resource Allocation: Directly manage departmental budgeting, financial operations, compliance reporting, and resource utilization across the ER service line.
  • Quality & Compliance: Partner with quality leadership to advance the facility toward becoming a highly reliable organization in strict compliance with healthcare accreditation standards.

Minimum Requirements
