Special Response Team (SRT) Officer

Location: Utah County, Utah (On-site)

Starting Salary: Approximately $70,000 annually


JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a disciplined, highly professional, and service-oriented Special Response Team (SRT) Officer to provide protective services, emergency response, surveillance, and security support for executives, employees, clients, and company assets.


The successful candidate will possess exceptional judgment, discretion, patience, and professionalism. This role requires the ability to operate effectively in both routine and high-stress environments while maintaining a low-profile, customer-focused approach. Responsibilities include emergency response, protective surveillance, threat assessment, vulnerability evaluations, and maintaining a safe and secure environment.


This position is based on-site in Utah County, Utah. Candidates must currently reside in Utah or be able to commute to Utah County. Relocation assistance is not available.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to emergency situations, including medical and non-medical incidents.
  • Provide physical security, protective surveillance, and protective overwatch for company personnel, facilities, and assets.
  • Conduct overt and covert surveillance operations to identify, assess, and mitigate potential threats.
  • Conduct protective surveillance activities to support threat detection, risk management, and executive protection operations.
  • Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, monitor access control points, and operate security and surveillance systems.
  • Identify, assess, and respond to suspicious or unusual activity.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment for executives, employees, and clients.
  • Provide a visible and discreet security presence while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, vendors, and internal teams as required.
  • Maintain awareness of local emergency services, hospitals, critical infrastructure, and primary/alternate travel routes within assigned areas.
  • Operate discreetly and effectively in low-profile, low-visibility environments.
  • Assist with security assessments, threat analysis, risk mitigation, and vulnerability evaluations.
  • Participate in project planning and operational meetings to identify and address security considerations.
  • Respond to incidents involving threats, disruptive behavior, or acts of violence and detain individuals when legally authorized and appropriate.
  • Support executive leadership with special projects and operational assignments.
  • Maintain readiness for rapid response requirements and changing operational needs.
  • Work assigned shifts across 24-hour periods, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as required.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Must currently reside in Utah and be able to work on-site in Utah County. Relocation assistance is not available.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of military, law enforcement, executive protection, or equivalent professional security experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record and be eligible to operate company vehicles.
  • Valid U.S. passport with the ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
  • Ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification for all age groups.
  • Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation.
  • Ability to qualify and maintain firearms proficiency in accordance with company standards.
  • Demonstrated firearms proficiency, including safe handling, operation, and deployment of duty firearms under stressful and dynamic conditions.
  • Proven experience responding to emergencies and managing critical incidents.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting surveillance, protective operations, or security assessments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated patience, emotional maturity, and sound judgment, particularly in high-stress situations.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to remain calm, observant, and composed while making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with modern security technology, communications equipment, surveillance systems, and reporting platforms.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically if required.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Honorable military service or prior law enforcement experience, particularly in protective or investigative assignments, including:
  • Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI)
  • Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID)
  • Marine Corps Criminal Investigation Division (CID)
  • Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS)
  • Experience providing executive protection or close protection services for senior government officials, corporate executives, or high-profile individuals.
  • Five (5) or more years of law enforcement, executive protection, military, or security operations experience.
  • Prior Special Response Team (SRT), tactical response, or specialized security operations experience.
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals and executive-level personnel.
  • Strong investigative, surveillance, report writing, and documentation skills.
  • Domestic and international travel experience in a protective security capacity.
