Job description

Summit Federal  Services, LLC (SFS) with headquarters in Oakland, Maryland, is a fast growing woman owned Small Business and HUBZone company with an outstanding record of performance providing more effective and efficient acquisition, business process, training, IT, administrative and security services to multiple federal agencies.
SFS is looking for Senior Editor  to provide services to provide the NGB Staff Support Services supporting  the National Guard. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Provides senior editorial quality control for NGB ExecSec executive correspondence, staff packages, issuances, SOPs, reports, and memoranda; reviews complex or high-visibility products for accuracy, clarity, format, completeness, consistency, and staffing compliance; resolves editorial issues with Action Officers; and ensures documents are ready for senior Government review and approval.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in English, communications, journalism, public administration, or related field;
  • 5+ years relevant experience or 2+ years of current NGB contract experience, Executive Secretariat, senior correspondence, policy, or technical editing experience.
  • Expert in executive correspondence, staff packages, issuances, SOPs, memoranda, reports, grammar, formatting, plain language, and document quality control. Experience reviewing high-visibility products, coordinating corrections with Action Officers, and ensuring compliance with senior-leader staffing standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Active Secret required;
  • Top Secret eligibility preferred.
