Job description

We are seeking a high-impact Chief Operating Officer to lead a multi-site, heavy-industrial manufacturing and distribution platform and report directly to the CEO. This is a critical leadership role designed for a "builder"—someone who can bridge the gap between high-level strategic planning and the "boots on the ground" reality of a complex supply chain.

As we scale, you will oversee the full lifecycle of production, from intake to final-mile logistics. This role is ideal for a candidate who desires and can execute with a high level of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Direct all manufacturing, safety, and quality control departments to ensure maximum throughput without compromising standards.
  • Process Excellence: Oversee complex distribution networks, managing both internal fleet assets and external 3PL partnerships.
  • Capital Projects: Lead the evaluation and implementation of facility upgrades, automation, and industrial technology integration.
  • P&L Stewardship: Manage an eight-figure budget, focusing on COGS reduction, labor optimization, and throughput.
  • Culture & Leadership: Mentor a diverse workforce, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).

Qualifications

  • Experience: 12+ years in industrial manufacturing, logistics, or metal fabrication environments.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing large teams (150+) across multiple shifts or locations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Skills: Deep familiarity with ERP systems, logistics software, and automated manufacturing processes.
  • Mobility: A willingness to relocate to the east central MS area.

Compensation:

  • $175,000 – $225,000 DOE + Performance Bonus
  • Comprehensive Executive Package (Health, 401k Match, Supplemental Life).
  • Generous Relocation Assistance Provided.

Why Relocate to East Central Mississippi?

  • Cost of Living: Enjoy a high quality of life with significantly lower housing costs compared to national averages.
  • Lifestyle: Access to premier outdoor recreation and a family-friendly community with top-tier school districts.
  • Growth: Join a region experiencing a surge in industrial investment and economic development.
