Job description

Office Managing Partner – Accounting & Finance Advisory

📍 San Francisco or Houston

I’m partnering with a high-growth accounting & finance advisory firm on a unique opportunity for an established Partner / Managing Director / senior finance executive to take ownership of and build a major regional market.

This is particularly compelling for a Big 4 Partner, advisory leader, or senior Controller/finance executive who wants to move beyond a traditional corporate or large-firm structure and have a direct hand in building a business, developing a team, owning client relationships, and participating in the upside they create.

The Opportunity

  • Serve as the senior leader and face of the firm within the market
  • Significant autonomy to build and shape the office
  • Develop relationships with CFOs, Controllers, PE firms, and executive leadership teams
  • Build and lead a high-performing advisory team
  • Leverage an established national platform and infrastructure to win and deliver work
  • Broad exposure across technical accounting, transactions, CFO advisory, finance transformation, and complex accounting matters
  • Highly competitive executive compensation + meaningful equity upside
  • Opportunity to participate directly in the long-term growth and value creation of the firm

Ideal Background

  • Partner / Managing Director within Big 4, accounting advisory, transaction advisory, or a similar professional services environment
  • OR senior Controller / CAO / finance executive with a strong public accounting foundation and established executive network
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Strong relationships with CFOs, Controllers, PE sponsors, and senior finance executives
  • Demonstrated business development ability or a highly commercial executive network
  • Experience building, leading, and developing teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire for greater ownership and autonomy

This is not simply another advisory Partner role. It’s an opportunity to take your relationships, technical credibility, and leadership experience and use them to build a market with the backing of an established platform — while having meaningful financial participation in what you create.
