Job description

Enterprise Architect
(Enterprise / Pre-Sales Hybrid Role)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect who can operate at the intersection of strategy, pre-sales, and delivery execution. This role requires someone who can design enterprise-wide data and AI architectures, communicate a compelling vision, and lead customers from initial concept through implementation.
Success in this role is as much about influence, communication, and relationship-building as it is about technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Architecture & Solution Design
  • Define end-to-end enterprise data and AI architectures across:
    • Data platforms (Fabric, Databricks)
    • Data architecture (domains, medallion, real-time/streaming)
    • AI enablement and consumption layers
    • Security, compliance, and governance models
  • Translate business goals into scalable, future-state architectures
  • Ensure alignment across infrastructure, data, AI, and governance

2. Pre-Sales & Client Engagement
  • Lead discovery sessions, strategy workshops, and innovation hubs
  • Build and present vision-driven architectures that customers buy into
  • Develop high-level solution proposals, estimates, and roadmaps
  • Act as a trusted advisor to client executives and stakeholders

3. Transition to Delivery & Ongoing Ownership
  • Transition from pre-sales into delivery oversight
  • Ensure architectural vision is executed correctly across engagements
  • Serve as a technical program lead across multiple accounts
  • Drive follow-on opportunities and long-term client growth

4. Cross-Domain Technical Leadership
  • Understand and integrate across:
    • Cloud infrastructure & networking (private endpoints, security models)
    • Data architecture & engineering patterns
    • AI/ML applications and use cases
    • Data governance frameworks & tooling
  • Provide guidance to solution architects and engineers
  • Bridge the gap between deep technical specialists and business stakeholders

5. Customer-Facing Leadership
  • Lead on-site engagements, executive briefings, and workshops
  • Represent the company in strategic client interactions
  • Build trust through clear communication and strong executive presence
  • Drive customer adoption and satisfaction

Requirements
Required Qualifications Core Experience
  • 8-12+ years in:
    • Enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or equivalent
    • Data platforms and cloud (Azure preferred)
  • Proven experience in both pre-sales and delivery leadership roles

Technical Expertise
  • Strong experience in at least one major data platform:
    • Microsoft Fabric or Databricks (deep expertise in one required)
  • Working knowledge across:
    • Data engineering and analytics architectures
    • AI/ML concepts and applications
    • Cloud infrastructure and security
    • Data governance and compliance
  • Broad understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem preferred

Soft Skills (Critical for Success)
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling ability
  • Ability to sell a vision and gain stakeholder buy-in
  • Strong executive presence and relationship-building skills
  • Highly adaptable-able to learn new technologies quickly
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is:
  • Broad, not narrow - able to span multiple domains rather than specialize in just one
  • Equally comfortable in the boardroom and the architecture diagram
  • A "translator" between business leaders and deep technical teams
  • Someone who can:
    • Design the vision
    • Sell the vision
    • Ensure the vision is executed

What Success Looks Like
  • Wins new business through compelling architecture and communication
  • Builds trusted advisor relationships with clients
  • Successfully leads multi-phase enterprise data/AI transformations
  • Drives repeat business and expanded engagements

Key Differentiator of This Role
This is not a pure technical architect role.Unlike traditional engineers or platform specialists, this role:
  • Operates at the enterprise level across multiple domains
  • Combines pre-sales, delivery, and client leadership
  • Requires strong personality, influence, and communication, not just technical depth
