Our tablets are not just devices they are lifelines. Each one is personalized, provisioned, and securely configured to support caregivers at home. 

As we scale nationally, we are building a high-functioning Boston-based device deployment center to support growing demand. 

Position Overview 

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Mobile Device Deployment & Fulfillment Technician to manage provisioning, configuration, tracking, and shipping of Android tablets used by families across the country. 

This role blends IT device management, inventory control, and operational execution. You will be responsible for ensuring each tablet is correctly enrolled, configured, quality-checked, and shipped with precision. 

This is not a warehouse-only role. It is a technical operations position critical to our growth. 

Key Responsibilities 

Device Provisioning & Configuration 

  • Enroll Android tablets into MDM systems (Knox, Miradore, or similar) 
  • Assign and track IMEIs accurately 
  • Configure applications, settings, and remote access tools (e.g., SplashTop) 
  • Perform functional testing and quality assurance before shipment 
  • Troubleshoot device issues prior to deployment 

Fulfillment & Shipping 

  • Generate shipping labels (FedEx system/API integration) 
  • Pair device identity with shipment tracking 
  • Maintain organized staging and packing workflows 
  • Ensure packaging materials and documentation are accurate and up to date 
  • Process returns and redeploy devices 

Inventory & Data Accuracy 

  • Track tablet inventory, accessories, and supplies 
  • Maintain clean documentation of IMEI-to-family assignments 
  • Manage device lifecycle (new, deployed, returned, retired) 
  • Reconcile physical inventory with system records 

Process Improvement 

  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements 
  • Support scaling from 30 100+ devices/day 
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and fulfillment teams on automation initiatives (e.g., FedEx API, label systems) 

Required Qualifications 

  • 15 years experience in: 
  • IT Support 
  • Desktop Support 
  • Device Deployment 
  • Mobile Device Technician 
  • Hardware Configuration 
  • Experience provisioning Android devices preferred 
  • Familiarity with MDM systems (Knox, Miradore, Intune, etc.) 
  • Experience with IMEI tracking or hardware asset management 
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy 
  • Comfortable working independently in an onsite environment 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments 
  • Experience with shipping systems (FedEx, UPS) 
  • Familiarity with label printers (Dymo, Zebra) 
  • Experience supporting remote teams 
  • Startup or scaling environment experience
